Some artists chase trends, Zac Chastain defines them
Zac Chastain was raised on country legends like Haggard, Jones, Waylon, Hank Jr and more from an early age while growing up on his family farm in north Georgia. He started playing guitar at age 12 and soon discovered southern rock and blues. He has developed his own style and sound of country music for a gritty American honkytonk sound reminiscent of the glory days of country music.
He is also a torch bearer for real country music, the legends that came before him and the pedal steel guitar, being turned onto steel guitar from the dynamic chemistry of Waylon and Ralph Mooney.
He spent years touring the southeast earning respect as one of the region’s top musicians, backing artists across the independent scene. His songs are rooted in hard work, honesty, heartbreak, freedom, and a way of life that seems to be forgotten.
Following his 2025 release of Living A Country Song, Zac is entering a new chapter in his career, rapidly growing a fan base, writing, and performing live shows that bring people back to the good old days of country music with a honkytonk style that is familiar, new and exciting.
